Apologies to Davy Jones, et al.

Here we come,

Walking down the street
Get the funniest looks from
Everyone we meet.

Hey, hey we're the Red Sox

And people say we monkey around

But were too busy swinging

To put anybody down.

We're just tryin' to be friendly,

So come and watch us swing and play.

We're the young generation

And we've got something to say.

Hey, hey we're the Red Sox,

You'll never know where we'll be found.

So you better get ready,
We may be coming to your town.

* I don't really know why I apologized to Davy Jones. The Monkees didn't write their own music. It's probably alright, though. The Monkees weren't about music. They were about rebellion, about political and social upheaval.
