According to Gammons, signing Adrian Beltre to a one year deal for $9 million with a player option for $5 million.
I'm sure his pitchers will be pleased with the move as it would appear that almost anything on the ground won't make it out of the infield. But with the loss of Bay and the almost certain dumping of Lowell, he seems to be building an east coast version of the Giants or maybe the Mariners.
